The DeSales Community Development Summer Associate will support the organization’s Community Services Coordination (CSC) programming, which connects DeSales’ affordable housing tenants and neighbors to resources that support housing stability, economic empowerment, youth development, and physical and mental health. The Summer Associate will build capacity around programming that promotes public health, including DeSales’ free summer youth baseball league and monthly community partner presentations, through support for program implementation and evaluation activities.

Description The Community Services Coordination (CSC) VISTA will enhance resident engagement in affordable housing and develop sustainable programming in collaboration with DeSales’ Community Services Manager. The VISTA will promote affordable housing resident stability and goal achievement through community partner engagement, development of wraparound support resources, and continuous quality improvement. As DeSales scales up its core CSC programming and builds new responsive initiatives, the VISTA will play a key role in supporting program implementation and documenting organizational activities.

The Operations & Systems VISTA will build the organizational capacity of DeSales Community Development to sustain a strengthened, accountable operational structure that serves low-income residents across its affordable housing portfolio in St. Louis. As DeSales implements a operational restructure the VISTA will play a central role in translating leadership decisions into documented systems, replicable procedures, and resident-centered programs. The VISTA will help ensure that the restructure produces infrastructure: written policies and protocols that outlast individual staff transitions, operational tracking tools that strengthen accountability and asset performance, and a new resident accountability and capacity-building program that supports housing stability for low-income residents. As a result of the VISTA's service, DeSales will have a stronger, more sustainable operational foundation and residents will benefit from more consistent service, clearer expectations, and support.

DeSales Community Development’s Community Services Coordination team is seeking Master of Social Work practicum students for Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and/or Spring 2027. Practicum students will have the opportunity to work directly with residents on case management and eviction prevention, collaborate on monthly community engagement events, and assist with program evaluation and reporting.

DeSales Community Development is seeking an entry-level accountant to join our team and support our finance department. This position will be primarily responsible for performing bank reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and assisting in various accounting functions for the organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to contributing to the continued growth and success of our mission. This position will begin as a contract role at 30 hours per week, with the possibility to transition to a full-time staff position.

The Property Manager is responsible for the successful management of DeSales Community Development and Fox Grove Management’s multi-family portfolio with attention to the “double bottom lines” of financial performance and community improvement.
